Srinagar, April 26, KDC: Terrorists opened fire on a civilian near his residence in Kandikhas area of Kupwara district in North Kashmir on Saturday evening.

The victim has been identified as Ghulam Rasool Magray, a resident of Kandikhas, who sustained bullet injuries to his abdomen and left wrist. Following the attack, he was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, reported news agency Kashmir Dot Com.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to track down the assailants. Additional forces have been deployed to strengthen security measures in the region.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and an investigation has been initiated. (KDC)
