Srinagar, 22 April: The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) has strongly condemned the brutal killing of innocent tourists in the Kashmir Valley. The federation expressed its deep sorrow and anger over the senseless violence that has shocked the region.
In a statement issued to Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com, KTMF announced a call for a complete Kashmir Bandh tomorrow as a collective expression of grief and protest against the horrific attack. The bandh is aimed at showing solidarity with the families of the victims and emphasizing the urgent need to safeguard the sanctity and security of the region.
KTMF President Mohammad Yaseen Khan conveyed the federation’s heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, stating, “This inhuman act has deeply shocked and pained the entire business community. We stand united in our condemnation of this tragedy, which goes against the values of peace, hospitality, and humanity that our region has always upheld.”
Khan further emphasized that the shutdown would serve as a unified voice calling for peace, justice, and the protection of all who visit and reside in the valley. The attack, which targeted tourists in Pahalgam, has raised serious concerns over the safety of civilians and tourists in the region. As the valley reels from the aftermath, organizations and political groups are rallying together in support of the shutdown to condemn the senseless violence and demand justice. (KDC)
