Awareness Programme on RNTCP Held at DH Bandipora

Bandipora, April 19: An awareness programme on the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) was held at District Hospital Bandipora to educate healthcare workers about the tuberculosis prevention and treatment strategies.

Speaking on the occasion, Medical Superintendent DH Bandipora, Dr. Masrat Iqbal Wani, highlighted the objectives of the programme and emphasized the importance of timely diagnosis and adherence to treatment under the RNTCP scheme. He called for collective efforts to eliminate TB from the district.

Dr. Reyaz Ahmad and Dr. Saba Anayat, AYUSH Medical Officers, shed light on the role of AYUSH medicines in boosting immunity and supporting TB care. They also discussed integrative approaches to patient management through traditional medicine.

Fayaz Ahmad Sofi conducted a training session for the participants, providing detailed information about the programme and raising awareness about various initiatives under the RNTCP. He stressed the need for community participation in the fight against tuberculosis.

The programme witnessed active participation from hospital staff and health workers. (KDC)
