Power supply affected in several Kashmir areas as KPDCL announces shutdown

Srinagar, April 17: Electricity has remained affected in several areas of Kashmir as the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) announced a shutdown schedule for carrying out infrastructure upgrades and maintenance works.

As per the schedule, in the Srinagar-Budgam sector, the power supply to Peerbagh, Humhama, Airforce, Sheikhpora, STC BSF, Hyderpora, and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10 am to 5 pm on April 23 and April 26.

In the Budgam district, the shutdown of the 33 KV Waterhail Tap line has been scheduled for April 17 and April 21 from 10 am to 5 pm.

n the Bandipora district, repair works on the 33 KV Nehalpora (Markundal) line will result in shutdowns on April 19 and April 22 from 10 am to 4 pm, with the power supply set to remain affected in areas including Naidkhai, Markundal, Sumbal, Chandergeer, Ankul, and Gund Boon.

On April 20, two major lines in the Pampore area will face shutdown from 10 am to 5 pm, which will affect the power supply to Pampore, Khadermoh, Zewan, Tengan, and nearby localities.
