Police organises awareness programme on New Criminal Laws in Budgam

Budgam, April 13, KDC: Police in Budgam have organized an awareness programme on new criminal laws at District Police Lines Budgam. This program aimed to publicize and enable a better understanding of the three laws (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam) among the youth and general masses.
The programme was chaired by Addl. SP Budgam accompanied by DySP DAR Budgam. The event was attended by the students of various institutions of district Budgam and police officers/officials of district Budgam also participated in the event.
While addressing the participants chairing officer explained the nuances of the new laws, clarifying their implications and stressing the importance of adherence to legal statutes for maintaining societal order and provisions that ensure justice for the victims of crime and the society at large.
At the conclusion, participants were awarded with certificate of participation and the participants thanked J&K Police for conducting such events. (KDC)
