Kathua, March 27: Two policemen were injured in an ongoing encounter with terrorists in the Juthana area of Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday.
According to sources, the gunfight erupted in the morning when security forces launched a cordon and search operation based on specific intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area.
As the forces approached the suspected hideout, they came under fire, leading to an exchange of gunfire.
The injured policemen have been shifted to a hospital for treatment. The operation is still underway, and further details are awaited.
