JAMMU, Mar 11: DIG JKS Range Shiv Kumar Sharma (IPS) visited Rajbagh and Marheen to meet the families of two missing boys, Deenu (15) and Rehmat Ali (12), assuring them that every possible effort would be made to trace them.

The boys went missing just days after three locals were found dead in a deep gorge in the Billawar area.

Accompanied by DySP Border Dheeraj Katoch and SHO Rajbagh Ajay Chib, the DIG emphasized that police teams were actively working on the case.

Deenu, son of Swaru, and Rehmat Ali, son of Makhan Din, had gone for cattle grazing near Bhamberwan Goat Farm on February 27, 2025, around 11:00 AM but never returned home. Their families reported the matter to Rajbagh Police Station through a written application in Hindi.

Following the complaint, an FIR (No. 51/2025 U/S 137(2) BNS) was registered, and an investigation was launched.

DIG Sharma instructed the SHO and DySP to coordinate with other districts and relatives in Punjab, Jammu, and Udhampur to gather leads. He also directed the formation of special teams and the circulation of the boys’ photographs to aid in their search.
