New Delhi, March 7, KDC: The Delhi Police Headquarters has issued an official order announcing the appointment of senior IPS officer Vijay Kumar as Special Commissioner of Police, Armed Police, Delhi.
The order, issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters-III), Rakesh Paweriya, as per Kashmir Dot Com states that the transfer/posting has been made in pursuance of the Government of NCT of Delhi’s order No. F. No.5/37/2023/HP-I/Estt./568-576 dated 06.03.2025 and on the recommendation of the Police Establishment Board. The posting takes effect immediately.
Vijay Kumar, an experienced IPS officer of the 1997 batch, has been posted to this role upon his arrival. His appointment is expected to strengthen the Armed Police division of Delhi Police. (KDC)
