Srinagar, Mar 6, KDC: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday carried out raids at two locations linked to a Junior Engineer (JE) of Jal-Shakti Department, then posted in Sub division Pulwama in connection with a disproportionate of assets case.

Reliable sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that ACB teams conducted searches at the residence of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, son of Abdul Khaliq Bhat, located at House No. 129, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar, as well as his permanent residence in Pehlipora Safapora, Ganderbal.

The raids are being carried out in connection with FIR No. 04/2025 under Section 13(1)(b) read with 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (Amendment 2018).

An official said that the officer is being investigated for allegedly accumulating wealth beyond his legitimate earnings, suggesting corruption.

They confirmed that the searches are being carried out since morning hours at both locations and when this report was being filed, the search were going on.(KDC)
