Srinagar, Feb 27, KDC: In a meticulously planned covert operation, Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) arrested a terrorist from Delhi, linked to terror funding and proscribed organizations across the Line of Control (LoC).
“Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK), in a secret operation, apprehended a terrorist in case FIR No. 02/2024 of P/S CIK from Delhi. The accused was involved in terror funding and had connections with terrorists of banned organizations operating across the LoC. The case pertains to providing logistical support to active terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, including financial aid for carrying out terror activities,” a CIK spokesperson said in a statement to Kashmir Dot Com.
“Funds were being funneled through various channels from across the LoC and then transported into India via couriers, including the arrested accused, Parvez Ahmad Khan @ PK @ Sheikh Tajamul Islam @ Khalid, son of Bashir Ahmad Khan, resident of Farooq Colony, Bemina, Srinagar.”
“The arrest was executed by a CIK investigation team in collaboration with the CID Cell Delhi and Delhi Police. The operation was strategized at CIK Headquarters days ago, with the accused under technical and physical surveillance. He was evading arrest and planning to flee from his current location.”
“The arrest was made in compliance with a ‘warrant of arrest’ issued by a competent court in Srinagar. The accused will be produced before the Srinagar court following his transit from Delhi, for which a transit remand has been secured. Further arrests in the case are anticipated,” the statement added. (KDC)
