Jammu, Feb 14: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday paid homage to the CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack.
“Heartfelt tribute to the courageous martyrs of the heinous Pulwama attack of 2019. Their supreme sacrifice in the service of the motherland will forever be remembered. The courage and selfless commitment of our gallant heroes will continue to inspire generations,” LG Sinha said in a post on X.
The Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps also honored the fallen CRPF personnel, acknowledging their unwavering spirit and sacrifice.
“Chinar Warriors pay obeisance to the CRPF Bravehearts who laid down their lives in the line of duty during the Pulwama attack. Their sacrifice will forever be etched in our hearts. We salute the unyielding spirit of CRPF personnel who continue to brave the toughest challenges to safeguard our nation and ensure peace and development in Kashmir,” the Army said in a statement on X.
On February 14, 2019, Jaish-e-Mohammad militant Adil Dar carried out a suicide bombing in Lethpora, Pulwama, ramming an explosive-laden car into a CRPF convoy, killing 40 personnel. The attack escalated tensions between India and Pakistan, leading to the Balakot airstrikes and a subsequent aerial dogfight between the two nations. (KDC)
