Srinagar, Feb 6, KDC: Member of Parliament from Srinagar, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, has alleged that two civilians in Jammu and Kashmir were killed by security forces just a day after a security review meeting. Ruhullah pointed out that these incidents occurred within 24 hours of the meeting conducted by the Union Home Minister and called for immediate action and justice.

“While the Nation including the opposition parties in Parliament are concerned—which we all should be—about the handcuffing and deportation of Indian citizens in America, two citizens (civilians) in Jammu and Kashmir got killed by security forces during the last 24 hours, soon after the meeting for the security review of Kashmir conducted by the Home Minister of India yesterday in Delhi,” Ruhullah said in a post on ‘X’, as per Kashmir Dot Com.

“As per reports, one was killed by torture in custody and the other on the road by firing bullets in his chest for (allegedly) having failed to stop at a checkpoint. I asked for time in Parliament today to raise the issue, but I was not given the time for it.”

“I hope the Nation, specifically the INDIA alliance headed by @INCIndia, will be equally concerned about this murder of two innocent citizens in J&K and ask for the immediate arrest of the security personnel involved in these killings and demand justice,” he said. (KDC)
