Srinagar, Jan 29: Light rain and snowfall is likely in parts of Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours, officials said.
An official said a weak western disturbance is likely to hit J&K today, bringing light rain and snow in both plains and the higher reaches.
He said the weather is likely to improve from tomorrow.
Kashmir is going through an unusual weather pattern this winter with maximum and minimum temperatures in Srinagar witnessing a cumulative deviation of nearly 10 degrees over the past 24 hours, meteorological department data revealed.
Meanwhile, Srinagar city recorded a low of 1.9 degrees Celsius on Tuesday night, due to a cloud cover.
