J&K Govt Directs Staff to Attend Republic Day, Beating Retreat Ceremonies

JAMMU, Jan 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has directed all its employees to attend the Republic Day function on January 26, 2025, and the Beating Retreat Ceremony on January 29, 2025, as part of their official duty.

The main Republic Day celebration will be held at Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu, with the Lieutenant Governor presiding over the event and taking the salute. All government officers and officials, including those from Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) stationed in Jammu, have been instructed to ensure their participation.

Heads of Departments and Chief Executives of PSUs have been asked to ensure not only their own attendance but also that of their subordinate employees at the event.

A separate circular has also outlined that the Beating Retreat Ceremony will take place at Maulana Azad Stadium on January 29, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. Attendance is mandatory for all government employees stationed in Jammu, and department heads and PSU executives are required to ensure full participation of their teams.
