Srinagar, Dec 30: A Srinagar resident, who was missing for over a week, has been found dead in a deep gorge in Digdool along the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said today.
A police official said that Police, SDRF and QRT Ramban volunteers launched a rescue operation after spotting a body and a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) today afternoon.
SSP Ramban Kulbir Singh confirmed that the body is that of a Srinagar resident, Umar Yaseen Shah of Railway colony Nowgam Srinagar, who had been missing since Dec 22.
