Jammu: The Army’s White Knight Corps expressed profound sorrow over the tragic loss of five soldiers in a vehicle accident during operational duty in the Poonch sector.

In a message shared on X (formerly Twitter), the White Knight Corps conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, stating, “All ranks of #WhiteKnightCorps extend their deepest condolences on the tragic loss of five brave soldiers.”

Rescue operations are underway to manage the situation, while the injured personnel are being provided with necessary medical care, the Army added.

The accident occurred while the soldiers were performing their operational duties in the challenging terrain of Poonch. The cause of the mishap is yet to be determined, and further details are awaited.

The Army continues its efforts to support the families of the deceased and ensure proper treatment for the injured. (KDC)
