Srinagar: Employees under the Rehbari Janglaat scheme have appealed to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to address their longstanding demands for job regularization and a pay grade revision.
In a letter to CM Omar, according to news agency Kashmir Dot Com, the employees highlighted that they were enrolled under the scheme in 2014, but the implementation was delayed due to the devastating floods that year. Despite completing their five-year probation period in 2022, their regularization remains pending.
Many employees expressed concerns about crossing the age limit for alternative employment, leaving their families in distress. “Our hardships continue to grow with each passing day. We urge the Chief Minister to prioritize our case and ensure justice for us,” read the appeal.
The employees have also sought parity with other Rehbar schemes, hoping for immediate attention and resolution of their grievances. (KDC)
