SRINAGAR: A terrorist was killed in an encounter with a joint team of security forces in Rampora, Rajpora area of North Kashmir’s Sopore this evening.
Reports reaching said that 22 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police, acting on specific intelligence inputs, launched a search operation in the area, which led to the gunfight.
While the identity of the slain terrorist remains unidentified, police believe he is likely a foreign terrorist (FT). The operation is still ongoing as security forces continue to comb the area for any remaining terrorists.
