SRINAGAR: Two Village Defence Group (VDG) guards are kidnapped and killed, believed to be by militants, in Kishtwar district on Thursday evening, official sources said.
They said that the incident takes place in a forest area of Kishtwar. While it is presumed that both guards, Nazir Ahmad and Kuldip Kumar, have been killed, their bodies are yet to be recovered.
Security forces have launched a massive search operation in the area to locate the bodies and apprehend the assailants. Further details are awaited. (KDC)
