Srinagar, Nov 6, KDC: A BJP MLA sustained injuries on Wednesday when Assembly marshals dragged out him from the House following directives from Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather.
According to Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com, the BJP MLA from Akhnoor, Mohan Lal was hurt during the scuffle and immediately taken to Srinagar’s Bones and Joint Hospital for treatment.
According to medical sources, Lal suffered soft tissue injury during the incident.
Earlier, BJP members created a ruckus in the house, demanding the rollback of a recently adopted resolution on special status. Speaker Rather ordered marshals to escort out the protesting members, leading to a confrontation in which Lal was injured. (KDC)
