SRINAGAR: The body of a retired government official was found lying near the Batote area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Nalin Kotwal, son of Jai Lal Kotwal, a resident of Dani Udrana, Bhaderwah.
Locals spotted the body on the road and immediately informed the authorities. A police team reached the spot, took custody of the body, and initiated medico-legal formalities.
Officials confirmed that a case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of death.
