Handwara: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone filed his nomination papers on Thursday for the 05 Handwara constituency.
Sajad Gani Lone was accompanied by hundreds of supporters as they made their way to the Returning Officer’s office in Handwara.
Speaking to reporters after filing his nomination papers, Lone addressed the release of Er Rashid, stating, “Er Rashid’s release is not the only decision; hundreds of people are being granted bail, reported news agency Kahsmir Dot Com.
He also called for unity following remarks made by Omar Abdullah, which he found disappointing. A Kupwara political leader expressed concern that such divisive language weakens the Kashmiri community. Despite past challenges, including alleged betrayals during the Parliamentary elections, Lone reaffirmed his faith in Allah and voiced confidence in electoral success.(KDC)
