SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Administration has sanctioned the voluntary retirement of Dr. Bharat Bhushan, JKAS, Director of Social Welfare, Jammu.
According to an official order, the retirement will take effect from September 7, 2024
However, the order specifies that Dr. Bhushan’s retirement is granted in relaxation of standard rules, with the stipulation that any outstanding liabilities or dues must be settled. Additionally, the retirement is contingent upon the verification of his service title.
Sources indicate that Dr. Bhushan may be preparing to enter the political arena. It is rumored that he is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and may contest for a seat in the Kathua Assembly, which is reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC). (KDC)
