Srinagar: An intense encounter broke out between security forces and militants in the Tad area of Tangdhar in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The gunfight began this evening after security forces launched an operation based on credible intelligence about militant activity in the LoC area.
Sources confirm to Kashmir Dot Com that a significant exchange of fire is ongoing, with both sides engaged in fierce combat.
Security forces have cordoned off the area, they said, adding that no casualties have been reported as of now, and further details will be provided as the situation develops. (KDC)
