Srinagar, Aug 22, KDC: Cyber Police Kashmir Thursday informed that it has successfully recovered ₹78 lakh in online fraud cases over the past month, returning the funds to victims.
“Cyber Police Kashmir Saves ₹78 Lakh. In just the last month, our team has recovered ₹78 lakh of online defrauded money, returning it to the victims. We’re committed to protecting your hard-earned money,” Cyber Police Kashmir said in a statement to Kashmir Dot Com.
“Stay Vigilant. Online fraud is on the rise. Never share OTPs, bank details, or personal info with anyone. Remember, legitimate companies and banks will NEVER ask for such details over calls or messages,” they said.
“Spot the scams. Unsolicited calls messages offering prize. Urgent money transfer requests. Suspicious links/emails. If you see these, it’s likely a scam. Report it immediately to Cyber PS Kashmir. If you suspect fraud, contact Cyber Police Station Kashmir right away. Quick action can save you from significant losses. Together, we can outsmart cybercriminals,” the statement added. (KDC)
