Srinagar, Aug 14,. KDC: In a significant development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the inter-cadre deputation of Nalin Prabhat, a 1992-batch IPS officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre, to the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories) Cadre.
According to news agency Kashmir Dot Com, as part of this decision, Shri Prabhat’s tenure as Director General of the National Security Guard (NSG) has been curtailed. The deputation will be initially for a period of three years, starting from the date he joins the AGMUT Cadre, or until further orders, whichever comes first.
The authorities have been requested to relieve Prabhat from his current duties immediately to facilitate his transition to the AGMUT Cadre. This move has been sanctioned in relaxation of the standard inter-cadre deputation guidelines. (KDC)
