Srinagar, August 3, KDC: In a bid to enhance cyber security awareness among young students, Cyber Police Kashmir Saturday organized an enlightening session at Oasis Higher Secondary School in Nowgam. The event aimed to educate students about the risks associated with cybercrime and equip them with the knowledge to protect themselves online.

According to Srinagar based news gathering agency Kashmir Dot Com, the session, led by an expert from the Cyber Police, focused on various aspects of cybersecurity, including safe internet practices, recognizing cyber threats, and understanding the importance of digital privacy. Students were encouraged to ask questions and participate in discussions, making the session interactive and engaging.

“We believe that educating our youth about cyber security is crucial in this digital age. By empowering them with the right knowledge, we can help them stay safe online and make informed decisions,” said the expert from Cyber Police Kashmir.

The session covered topics such as identifying phishing scams, creating strong passwords, and understanding the consequences of cyberbullying. Students were also made aware of the legal implications of cybercrime and the importance of reporting suspicious activities.

The event was well-received by both students and faculty members, who appreciated the initiative taken by Cyber Police Kashmir to address such a vital issue. The school administration expressed gratitude for the informative session and emphasized the need for continuous awareness programs to keep students updated on the evolving cyber threats. (KDC)
