Traffic police Srinagar issues advisory in view of road upgradation

Srinagar, July 31: In view of the 25th Muharram procession, Traffic Police Rural Kashmir issued an advisory for motorists intending to commute on Srinagar-Baramulla highway on August 1st, 2024.

“In view of 25th Muharram procession, the vehicular movement from Harthrat to Narbal along Srinagar-Baramulla highway shall remain affected on 25th Muharram (01 August, 2024) from 10:00 hours up to 20:00 hours, as such motorists are advised to avoid unnecessary movement on said road during instant Muharram procession,” advisory reads.

However, in order to ensure hindrance free movement of vehicular traffic during procession is taken out on road: The Srinagar bound vehicles from Kupwara, Handwara, Sopore shall be allowed via Hygam to Sumbal to HMT Srinagar.

Srinagar bound vehicles from Baramulla/Uri shall be allowed via Hamrey Gate to Pattan to Sumbal to HMT Srinagar.

Srinagar bound vehicles from Hamrey, Pattan shall be allowed via Harthrath Bridge to Khanpath to Shadipora to HMT Srinagar.

North Kashmir bound HMVs shall be allowed via Narbal to Magam to Kungumdara to Khore to Hanjiwera to Pattan.

North Kashmir bound LMVs shall be allowed via Narbal to Kanihama to Nooripora to Archanderhama to Gund Khoja Qasim to Jeel Bridge to Pattan, the advisory reads. (KDC)
