Srinagar, July 26, KDC: In a bid to ensure timely completion and maintain high standards, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, who is also the CEO of Smart City Projects, Dr. Owais Ahmed has embarked on a stringent night-time inspection regime to expedite the city’s smart city projects. Dr. Owais is personally overseeing the works, leaving no stone unturned, said officials.

Officials informed Kashmir Dot Com that Dr. Owais, along with concerned officials, has been conducting surprise inspections of all ongoing smart city projects for the past few days. These inspections are part of a concerted effort to maintain quality control and project timelines.

“The Commissioner is committed to ensuring that these projects are completed within the stipulated time frame without compromising on quality,” said a senior official. “These night-time inspections are a testament to his dedication to transforming Srinagar into a smart city.”

The officials said, Dr. Owais has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards the use of substandard materials in the projects.

They said, he believes that stringent supervision is crucial to prevent any lapses in quality. By conducting these surprise inspections, he aims to instill a sense of accountability among contractors and ensure that the public gets the best possible infrastructure.

The night vigil is expected to continue until the completion of all ongoing smart city projects. (KDC)
