Civic action programme held in DPL Kupwara for distribution of essential aids to specially-abled persons

Kupwara, Nov 21, KDC: In an effort to foster inclusivity and support the specially-abled community, the Kupwara Police organized a special event at the District Police Lines Kupwara, as part of their Civic Action Programme 2023.
The event witnessed the participation of District SSP Kupwara, Yougal Manhas, JKPS, members of Jammu & Kashmir Handicapped Association along with other police officers/officials, and members of civil society.
The highlight of the programme was the distribution of specialized  aids, including wheelchairs and crutches, among several differently-abled individuals. This initiative aims to  improve the quality of life for those facing physical challenges in the Kupwara district.
During the event, SSP Kupwara Yougal Manhas underscored the ongoing commitment of the Jammu Kashmir Police to fostering the integration of differently-abled individuals into mainstream society. He emphasized the pivotal role played by the Civic Action Program in realizing this vision and assured the community of continued initiatives by District Police in the future.
Mushtaq Ahmad Ganaie ,Spokesperson of J&K Handicapped Association also addressed the gathering ,commending the role of the police in supporting the specially-abled persons in the district.
