KISHTWAR, JULY 11: Umer Saleem Naik and Sujal Sharma of district Kishtwar have been chosen as promising football talents and sent to the prestigious Sudeva Delhi Football Club for residential training.

The District Administration Kishtwar and the Department of Youth Services and Sports Kishtwar and Chenab Valley Power Projects Private Limited (CVPPPL) played a crucial role in facilitating this opportunity for the young football talent.

As part of their selection, Umer and Sujal were awarded scholarships amounting to Rs. 75,000 each. The financial support will enable them to pursue their dreams and get professional training at the renowned Sudeva FC training center in New Delhi. The club boasts state-of-the-art facilities and employs the best coaches from across the country.

Umer and Sujal were selected on the basis of their performance in the maiden National Level CVPPL Kishtwar Football Cup 2023 held at historic chowgan ground Kishtwar a few months back. The coaches thoroughly evaluated the participants based on their exceptional talent, stamina, and skills. Umer and Sujal’s outstanding performance and dedication distinguished them from their peers, leading to their selection for the residential training program.

During their stay at Sudeva FC, Umer and Sujal will have access to a comprehensive range of amenities, including lodging and food. This residential training will immerse them in an environment conducive to their growth as footballers, allowing them to focus on their training and development without any distractions.

The District Administration Kishtwar and the District Youth Services and Sports Department Kishtwar have reiterated their commitment to support and nurture local talent in the way Umer Saleem Naik and Sujal Sharma .

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav has congratulated the duo footballers on this achievement and wished them  best of luck for their future endeavors.
