Srinagar, June 01, KDC: SIA Kashmir on Thursday carried out searches at nine locations in Pulwama, Shopian and Anantnag in south Kashmir.
A top official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that searches were conducted in connection with investigation of case FIR No. 14/2023 (Killing of Sanjay Kumar Sharma, Bank guard) of Achan, Pulwama.
Some electronic gadgets including mobile phones, electronic storage devices, SIM cards, documents, bank documents etc relevant to the ongoing investigation have been seized during these searches in three districts and preliminary questioning provided very pertinent leads leads in the case, he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the case was initially investigated by Pulwama Police and subsequently transferred to the SIA Kashmir. Investigation is progressing well and agency is hopeful of taking it to its logical conclusion.
These searches were carried out in pursuance of search warrants issued by the Special Court for UAPA offences (designated under the NIA Act) Pulwama, actively assisted by sister agencies, during the pre-dawn hours today. (KDC)
