Srinagar, Feb 09, KDC: A scooty rider was killed after allegedly being hit by a Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department (JKPDD) vehicle in Sanat nagar by-pass area of Srinagar outskirts on Thursday afternoon.
A police officer told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that a scooty rider identified as Javaid Ahmad Mir, a resident of Gojwara Srinagar was allegedly hit by JKPDD truck in Sanat nagar by-pass this afternoon, resulting in his on spot death.
The body of Mir was shifted to a local hospital here for legal-medico formalities.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and further investigation has been set into motion. (KDC)
