Banihal, Jan 28, KDC: Three members of a family were found dead due to asphyxiation in a kacha house at Sandrot Balihote in Ramban district of Jammu division on Saturday, locals said.

Locals told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that three members of a family identified as Chain Singh, his wife and daughter were found dead in in a kacha house.

They said one woman (daughter) was found in an unconscious condition and is being shifted to Ramban hospital.

A police officer told KDC that teams of police, SDRF and QRT are on the way to the spot and further details will be shared later and accordingly investigation will be initiated in this matter.

DC Ramban in a tweet informed that “At least 3 members of a family found dead due to asphyxiation in Balihote, Tehsil Ramban. One girl found alive has been shifted for medical treatment. Financial assistance will be provided out of Red Cross.” (KDC)
