Srinagar, Nov 24, KDC: State Investigation Agency (SIA) is carrying out raids at multiple locations in central, south and north Kashmir on Thursday morning as part of its investigation of a case registered at SIA.

Reliable sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that the sleuths of the investigating agency with the assistance of the local police and the CRPF carried out raids in summer capital Srinagar, Bandipora Anantnag, Shopian and other districts.

The residence of Arooj Nisar Sheikh daughter of Nissar Ahmad at Pandrethan in Srinagar was being searched by the sleuths of State Investigation Agency.

In Anantnag at Kehribal, a raid is being conducted at the residence of Myser Ahmad and residence of Farooq Ahmad at Kamad under the police jurisdiction of Anantnag.

The residence of Ubaid Ahmad at Kaloosa Bandipora and the residence of Rahat Farooq At Zaloora Sopore is also being searched by the probing agency.

Similarly, another team is carrying out searches in the residence of Mushtaq Ahmad Thokar, son of Ghulam Hassan at Hefkhuri Shopian. The residence of the husband of DDC member Zainpora Shopian Yasmeena Jan from (Apni Party) is also being searched by the agency.

Reports said that the raids are being carried out at other locations also.

An official confirmed to KDC and said raids are being conducted in connection with a case already registered at the SIA. The details of the case will be shared later, he said. (KDC)
