The Election Commission on Thursday announced the schedule for assembly election in Gujarat.
The state, where the BJP is currently in power, goes to the hustings on 1 December.
Assembly polls in Gujarat will be held in two phases. Counting of votes will take place on 8 December.
The first phase of polling will take place on 1 December, followed by the second phase of polling on 5 December, reads the report.
The Legislative Assembly of Gujarat is 182-members strong. This time, the election will witness a three-cornered contest between the ruling BJP, the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party.
