SRINAGAR, AUGUST 13,KDC: In connection with 76th Independence Day being celebrated on 15th August, 2022, the full dress rehearsal function was today held across all the districts of Kashmir, giving a glimpse of the grand spectacle to unfold on Monday

The rehearsal is a precursor to the actual Independence Day parade scheduled to be held on 15th of August to present a glimpse of preparation for an impressive show of colourful events on National festival to exhibit pride of nation.

In Srinagar, the full dress rehearsal was held at S.K Stadium where Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole hoisted the National flag, took salute from parade commander and contingents besides inspected the parade of contingents.

The contingents that participated in the March past parade included Police, JKAP, CRPF, SSB, lady contingent of Police, IRP, Fire & Emergency Services, Forest Protection Force, Pipe & Band contingents, NCC & Student contingents from 14 schools of District Srinagar besides, Civil Defense Department which participated first time in the parade.

Meanwhile, Artists of cultural academy and other troupes besides, students performed colorful cultural programmes amid the national Patriotic Songs and local popular songs which enthralled the audience and invoked huge applause.

Among others present were Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Assad; senior Police Officers,  Head of Departments of all line departments, students, media persons besides officers of CRPF and other security agencies.

At Baramulla: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Baramulla, Aijaz Abdullah Saraf unfurled the tricolor, took the salute at the march-past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, SSB, Home Guard and students of various schools and inspected the parade at District Police Lines, here.

The ADDC expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by various departments for the hassle free celebration of the national event at the venue.

In his address, the ADDC lauded the importance of Independence-Day celebration and said that this year Independence day is celebrated as “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India.

He also highlighted the various developmental activities registered by different departments in the district and achievement under different welfare schemes during the current financial year.

Besides, colorful cultural items and theme based skits as a part of the full-dress rehearsal were presented by students and well-known artists.

At Anantnag: The Additional Deputy  Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Gh. Hassan Sheikh today unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents from CRPF, J&K Police, Home Guards,  NCC and school Childrens at GDC Boys Khanabal, here.

Addressing the gathering, the ADC highlighted efforts and  achievements made by the district under various priority areas including education, healthcare, languishing, back to village, district capex, agriculture and allied sectors, women and youth empowerment, MGNREGA, JJM, water and electricity supply to Anganwadi Centres and schools, rural development, macadamisation and road connectivity, social welfare, Nasha Mukt Bharat, industries, self employment and creation of durable and sustainable assets.

He also thanked the general public for their cordial support during the SANJY 2022. The importance of flagship programmes like Har Ghar Trianga was also highlighted on the occasion.

On the occasion, colorful cultural programmes on patriotic themes were presented by the students from schools and artists of the Information department.

Among others, ADDC, SP, ADC( G), CEO, CMO, ACD, ACP, ACR, Ex. Engineer R&B, Flood, ARTO, Tehsildar Anantnag, officers from civil and police administration and general public were present during the full dress rehearsal.

At Budgam: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Budgam, Dr Akramullah Tak today unfurled the tricolor, inspected the parade contingents and took salute at the March Past, presented by contingents of JKP, JKIP, CRPF, Home Guard, NCC and school students at the Sports Stadium, here.

During his address, the ADDC paid rich tributes to the martyrs and highlighted the role and sacrifices of freedom fighters for India’s Independence.

On the occasion various cultural programmes were presented by artists and school children.

Similar Rehearsal functions were also held at all SDM and Tehsil Headquarters.

The function was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, ASP, all concerned DySPs, District/Sectoral Officers and other concerned

At Ganderbal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ganderbal, Shyambir unfurled the tricolor, inspected the parade and took salute at the march-past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, ITBP, PTS Manigam, SPO Ganderbal, District Police, Home Guard, NCC and students of various schools at Qamariya Ground, here.

The DC expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by various departments for the hassle free celebration of the national event at the venue.

In his address, the DC complimented all the departments engaged in preparations for hassle free celebration of 76th Independence Day. He said that various activities under Har Ghar Tiranga are going in full swing in the district in which people from all walks of life are participating enthusiastically to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India.

Besides, colorful cultural items and theme based skits as a part of the full-dress rehearsal were presented by the students.

The event was attended by ADDC, Khurshid Ahmad Shah; ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba; ASP, Feroz Yehya; CPO, ACR, besides various other civil and police officers.

At Pulwama: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Pulwama, Dr Ab Aziz Sheikh  today hoisted  the National Flag and took salute at the march past comprising contingents from CRPF, District Police, JKP Womens wing, Home guard and school children from various educational institutes at District Police Lines, here.

Speaking on occasion, the ADDC highlighted various developmental works and achievements of the district particularly the establishment of AIIMS and IUST in the district.

He said that Pulwama leads in the saffron production which is a world famous crop cultivated in the district adding that District has potential to become economically vibrant and self-sufficient in various products.

On the occasion, local artists presented cultural programmes, patriotic songs and skits. However artists from the Information Department and Youth Services and Sports also mesmerized the audience with patriotic songs.

Senior officers from Police and civil administration, school children and a large number of people were present on the occasion.

Similar function was held at DPL Awantipora where ADC Awantipora M. Zaffer Shawl hoisted the flag and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JKAP, JKP, CRPF, NCC cadets and school children.

At Shopian: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani unfurled the National Flag and took salute at the March Past presented by the contingents of CRPF, JKP, Forest Protection Police, Fire & Emergency, Home Guard and contingents of various school children at District Police Lines (DPL), here.

Addressing the gathering, the ADC said that after independence the nation has achieved the highest goals of success in every field of development. He enlisted various projects that were executed  in the district in different sectors viz. health, education, R&B, JJM, KPDCL, RDD etc and said that the district has recorded splendid achievements on multiple fronts.

Underlining the need of maintaining peace and communal harmony for development, ADC said that Shopian district is a glaring and shining example of brotherhood where people of different faiths and communities co-exist peacefully.

School children of various educational institutions also presented cultural programmes on the occasion.

Among others, senior Civil Administration and Police officers were present on the occasion.

At Kulgam: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi today unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, Women Police, Home Guard, Police band, students from schools and other contingents at District Police Lines (DPL), here.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC congratulated the people and highlighted the developmental scenario of the district and achievements recorded under various schemes and sectors in the district.

Cultural programmes were also presented on the occasion by the local artists.

ADC, Showkat Ahmad Rather; ASP, Majid Hussain and Senior officers from civil and police administration were present on the occasion.

Besides, President Municipal Council Kulgam, PRI members, students and people from various areas of the district participated in the function.

At Kupwara: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat hoisted the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute on March-past presented by contingents of JKP, IRP, CRPF, FPP, JK Home Guards, Police Commandos and school children at District Police Lines, here.

ASP Kupwara, ACD, ACP, CEO, CMO, DYS&SO and DIO besides District officers and officials were present on the occasion.

Addressing the function, the ADC congratulated the audience on the eve of celebration of 76th Independence Day. He said that District Administration is committed for holistic development and enlisted developmental activities and achievements.

He said Rs.1598 crore CAPEX Budget has been approved for the current year which is double than previous year’s budget. He also said that Rs.105.72 crore is being expended under Area Development Fund during the current financial year to develop basic infrastructure for the prosperity of rural people.

Ghulam Nabi Bhat said that District Kupwara is an Aspirational District adding that NITI AYOG has granted additional Rs.3 crore to the district this year. The Union Health Ministry has awarded the Gold Medal to the Health Department for best work in TB eradication in the district.

He said Bangus is developing as an unexplored tourist destination which has witnessed about 10000 tourist footfall this year.

Earlier, on his arrival, the ADC visited the Martyrs’ Memorial and laid flowers there.

Later, various colourful cultural variety programmes were presented by students from different schools on the occasion.  Lezium, Mass PT and Human Pyramid were also presented.

Full dress rehearsal functions were also held at Handwara, Karnah and Sogam sub divisions.

At DPL Handwara, ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir hoisted the National Flag and took salute at the March past. Cultural programmes were also held on the occasion.

At Karnah, SDM, Dr.Gulzar Ahmad Rather hoisted the tricolour and took a salute on the March past. Cultural programmes were also held on the occasion.

At Bandipora: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Afsar Ali Khan today hoisted the National Flag, inspected the parade and took the salute at the march past comprising contingents of CRPF 3rd battalion, J&K Executive Police, J&K- IRP, J&K Fire and Emergency, SPOs, Home Guard, NCC, Students from various schools followed by police Band Group at S.K Stadium, here.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC appreciated and congratulated all the participants and organisers of Tiranga Rallies across the district. He also appreciated the efforts of all concerned who played their role in successful and peaceful completion of  Shri Amarnathji Yatra.

On the occasion colorful cultural programmes, depicting patriotism, culture and the message of the national anthem was also presented by various schools.

SSP Bandipora Mohd Zahid, ADC Bandipora Waseem Raja, ASP Bandipora Ashiq Hussain Tak, ACR Bandipora Parvaiz Rahim, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad and heads of various departments, district officers along with senior officers were present to witness the full dress rehearsal.

Chairman MC Bandipora was also present during the full Dress Rehearsal function at S.K stadium besides the general public.

Full dress rehearsal function was also held at Mini secretariat Bandipora where Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Waseem Raja hoisted the flag.

All the blocks of district also witnessed full dress rehearsal function besides functions at Sub Division Sumbal and Gurez

3rd National Lok Adalat held at Sgr, Bud, Bla, Pul, Spn & Kul

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 13: In pursuance to the directions of National Legal Services Authority, the National Lok Adalat was today conducted across all the districts of Kashmir division.

The Lok Adalat was organised to settle Pre-litigation, pending cases in the courts particularly MACT, matrimonial, family disputes, labour disputes, civil and criminal cases, bank recovery cases, electricity and water bills besides cases related to other civil matters.

In Lok Adalat both parties get their matter settled amicably with the intervention of court and in case their matter is settled they are entitled to get their court fee refunded back which is paid by them at the time of institution of their case.

Further both parties are in win- win position as the cases are settled on their own terms and conditions which fit them in the given circumstance and the award passed in the Lok-Adalat is binding and has the status of a decree of civil court and is capable of execution through the legal process.

In Srinagar, the National Lok Adalat was organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar and was inaugurated under the Chairmanship of Jawad Ahmad, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Srinagar.

A total of Nine Benches were constituted on the occasion.

Jawad Ahmad Chairman DLSA Srinagar visited Bench no 1 Comprising Pradeep Kumar, Presiding officer MACT Court Srinagar Shafeeq Ahmad Malik, Ist Additional Munsiff Srinagar, Where in total 49 MACT Claims were taken up and 41 Claims/Cases were disposed-off.

In this Bench, due to the intervention of Jawad Ahmad, Chairman DLSA, three MACT Claims titled Gh. Nabi Lone V/s Farooq Ahmad and others (National Insurance Company) of Rs 66 lacs, Hajra Begum and Others Vs Bjaj Allianz of Rs 52.75 Lacs and Shameema Bano v/s National insurance Company of Rs 53 Lacs were Settled and the award amount /Cheque in all the three cases/Claims was handed over to the Claimants on spot by the Chairman DLSA Srinagar.

A total number of 26,730 Cases were taken up for their amicable settlement out of which 26,083 cases were settled. This involves an amount of Rs. 3,86,05,000 settled by MACT, Srinagar, Rs 1,31,55,849 in Banks cases and in addition an amount of Rs.34,19,695 was imposed as fine in traffic cases. In total an amount of Rs 5,79,85,944 was realized in total.

At Budgam, the National Lok Adalat was inaugurated by Mohammad Ashraf Malik, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Budgam, at District Court Complex Budgam.

Each Court had identified cases for the Lok Adalat beforehand and same were placed before eight different benches constituted by DLSA Budgam for settlement in National Lok Adalat.

Nonetheless, a total number of 5806 matters were taken up for their amicable settlement, out of which 4124 matters were settled. Besides, an amount of Rs. 2,08,55,849 was realized in toto in the settlement.

At Baramulla, The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Baramulla in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Service Committees today organised Special Lok Adalats across the district.

The Adalats were conducted under the Chairmanship of Principal District & Sessions Judge Baramulla Mohammad Yousuf Wani.

At District Court Baramulla, the Lok Adalat was inaugurated by the Principal District and Sessions Judge wherein benches were constituted for hearing the cases.

The Lok Adalat comprised total 12 benches constituted in the entire district in which 1737 different cases/ matters were taken up, out of which 1319 cases were settled amicably on spot. An amount of Rs 2.19 Crore was also recovered as the settlement amount.

Similarly,  special Lok Adalats were also organized at Tehsil Legal Service Committees of Pattan, Sopore, Tangmarg,  Rafiabad and Uri where the concerned Sub judges presided over the benches for hearing the cases.

At Pulwama, The National Lok Adalat was today organised by District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) Pulwama and was inaugurated by Ab. Rashid Malik, Chairman DLSA (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Pulwama in presence of all judicial officers posted at Pulwama headquarter and bar members.

While interacting with media persons, the Chairman DLSA told them regarding the benefits of referring and settlement of cases in these Lok-Adalats.

A total of nine benches were constituted out of which four benches were constituted for holding of National Lok Adalat at District headquarters and three benches at Tehsil Levels of the District Pulwama.

All these benches were also assisted by the Mediator, Panel Lawyer, &PLVs of their respective jurisdiction. One bench was constituted for the disposal of revenue cases in Deputy Commissioner Office and was headed by the Assistant Revenue Commissioner Pulwama and one bench was constituted for the cases pending in the Court of Assistant labour Commissioner Pulwama.

Many pre-litigation matters like Public Utility Service matters etc pertaining to people belonging to inaccessible areas as declared by Government of J&K as inaccessible areas were taken up before the said National Lok-Adalat and were settled through amicable settlement. The cases of these people were received while conducting Door to Door Campaign by PLVs of District Pulwama.

A total number of 650 pre litigation matters were taken up amongst which 600 number of pre litigation matters pertaining to far-flung rural areas including Rajpora, Tral Pampore, were settled. Further, numbers of beneficiaries benefited from the above pre litigation matters.

Total 4680 cases of different nature were taken up by these nine benches out of which 4230 cases were amicably settled and an amount of Rs. 95,18,270 has been settled with the efforts of the presiding officers as well as by the cooperation of Bar members of the respective Courts.

At Shopian, the National Lok Adalat was within the court premises of District Court Complex Shopian under the Chairmanship of Riyaz-Ul-Haq Mirza, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Principal District & Session Judge) Shopian.

For the said National Lok Adalat, 04 Benches were constituted by the DLSA.

A total of 286 cases were taken up, out of which 223 cases were settled amicably with a settlement amount Rs.3,86,48,900.

At Kulgam, A National Lok Adalat was today held at District Court Complex Kulgam, under the chairmanship of Pr. District & Sessions Judge Kulgam, Tahir Khurshid Raina (Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kulgam).

A total of five benches were constituted, four at Head quarter and one each at D.H.Pora and Qazigund.

In the said National Lok Adalat, 1669 cases were taken up out of which 1281 cases were amicably settled. An amount of Rs.26,95,034 was realized in different cases.

 ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign continues at Bandipora

More than 8k participate in an impressive Tiranga Rally held at Hajin

BANDIPORA, AUGUST 13: In continuation to ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahaotsav’ an impressive Tiranga Rally was today held at Army Goodwill School Hajin.

The Mega Tiranga Rally was attended by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais  Ahmed, SSP Bandipora Mohd Zahid, SDM Sumbal Dr. Bashir Lone, Chairman MC Hajin, Padma Sharee Faisal Ali Dar  and officers from sub divisional Administration Sumbal.

More than 8000 students, youth volunteers besides the general public actively participated in the Grand Tiranga Rally.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that ‘Tiranga’ is a symbol of national pride for every Indian. To further honour our national flag, a very appreciative campaign ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ has been launched.

He said the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign encourages people to bring and hoist Tiranga at home marking the 75th year of India’s independence.

The DC appreciated the efforts of school children for remaining on forefront with District Administration in Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and also congratulated all the participants and organisers of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign across the District.
