Bandipora, Feb 11, KDC: An SPO of Jammu and Kashmir police succumbed to his injuries and four other security personnel were injured after militants hurled a grenade in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Police sources told news agency KDC that a grenade was hurled towards a joint police and CRPF party near Nishat Park.
Five security personnel’s sustained injuries in the attack. The injured were shifted to hospital from treatment. Hospital sources told KDC that one SPO identified as Zubair Ahmad (driver), a resdient of Papchan area of the district succumbed to his injuries.
The other injured persons were identified as Mohammad Shafi (HC) Constable Yasir, constable Mohammad Yaseen and ASI Omaesh Singh.
Joint Forces cordoned off the area after the attack and the traffic has been diverted on the road. (KDC)
