Srinagar, Jan 28, KDC: Unknown militant on Friday fired upon a policeman at SD Colony Batamaloo Srinagar but he had a miraculous escape, officials said.
A top police officer told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that at about 1550 hours, a pistol borne militant fired upon the police constable identified as Munir Mehraj outside his home.
However, the policeman escaped unhurt. Soon after the attack, the officer said that entire area was cordoned off and searches launched; however nothing found and the CASO was called off.
The officer said that a case under relevant sections of law is being registered in this regard, (KDC)
