ANANTNAG, Jan 14, KDC: The Youth Services and Sports office (YS&SO) Anantnag today organized a large-scale Virtual/ Physical performing of ‘Surya Namaskar’ aasan under ‘Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ campaign at different venues of the district at Zonal level.
The programme was inaugurated at District Headquarter Anantnag by following the directions from the activity section of YS&SO Anantnag. The different Zonal Physical Education Offices of the district also organized the said programme at different locations by adhering to CAB.
In strict adherence to CAB and other SOPs, the least number of staff and students as per the Government Guidelines participated in the Surya Namaskar events.
The participants showed a lot of interest in the event as they all believe that such events improve physical fitness, mostly when they are in home isolation due to Covid-19 restrictions.
On the occasion, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Anantnag interacted with all participants virtually and encouraged them for participation despite harsh winter climatic conditions. (KDC)
