SRINAGAR, November 12: Scores of National Conference workers hailing from Eidgah territorial constituency on Friday joined Apni Party under the leadership of Mohammad Ashraf Palpori at Party Central office in M2 Church Lane, Sonwar.

The joining ceremony took place in presence of Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir, Provincial President Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Mayor SMC & Apni Party Youth President Junaid Azim Mattu, Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi, DDC Chairman Srinagar Malik Aftab, Provincial President Youth Wing Kashmir Khalid Rathore, Provincial President Women Wing Kashmir Dilshad Shaheen, State Coordinator Youth Outreach and Capacity Building Program Tariq Mohi-ud-din, Provincial Youth Joint Secretary Mohammad Dilawar Dar, Provincial Youth Organiser Adil Bhat, District President Youth Srinagar Mohsin Zaffar Shah, Party Provincial Convener Legal Cell Kashmir Advocate Sajad Ibrahim Wani and Women Wing Coordinator Kashmir and Media Convener Sujada Bashir, District Vice President Srinagar Mohammad Shafi Mir.

Welcoming the new entrants into the party-fold, Ghulam Hassan Mir said that Apni Party came into being when there existed a political vacuum in J&K and the people were felt disempowered.

“Apni Party leadership has always put-forth its unswerving efforts for safeguarding the rights and dignity of the people of J&K without any fail. It is the resolve of our Party through which the land and job rights in J&K were secured and we are rigorously pursuing the restoration of Statehood at an earliest. Apni Party is a people-centric party that focuses on ushering in an era of peace, prosperity and development in J&K,” he said.

Mir asserted that Eidgah constituency has been a victim of utmost negligence where the infrastructural growth and development has been non-existent on ground zero due to which local inhabitants have been pushed to wall for decades.

“The political negligence is the sole reason for the woes of the people living in Eidgah. It has acted as a blight on the developmental growth in Eidgah which today immensely lags behind in basic infrastructural amenities. However, with your unstinting support if Apni party comes into power, we will ensure that this neglected constituency gets its share of a visible and equitable development,” he said.

On this occasion Mohammad Ashraf Palpori, Councilor Rathpora-Eidgah, thanked the party leadership for providing him and his associates a viable political platform while pledging to further strengthen the party cadres at grassroots level.

“I am sure that under an able and visionary leadership of Apni Party, J&K along with Eidgah constituency will witness an unprecedented change with regards to the initiation of development works in its different localities. I express my gratitude to the party leadership and will put unstinted efforts for the redressal of public grievances,” he said. (KDC)
