Srinagar, Sep 17, KDC: A ten-year-old boy was mauled to death by a leopard in Soibugh, area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday evening.
An official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a ten years old boy identified as Aehran Showkat Mir son of Showkat Ahmad Mir, a resident of Haran village of Soibugh in Budgam was taken by a leopard near his house at evening hours.
He said that after receiving the information police, wildlife teams swung into action and launched the massive searches to trace out the boy adding that the body was traced in a nearby area forest area later.
However, locals told Kashmir Dot Com that the leopards had been roaming in the area for many weeks and some of them were even captured. (KDC)
