Budgam, July 05, KDC: The authorities Monday realized a fine of Rs three lakh fifty thousand from different brick kiln owners for violating government norms in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

An official told News Agency Kashmir Dot com (KDC) that a team from district administration Budgam conducted surprise checks of various brick kilns in the Waterwani area of the district. During the inspection six brick kiln owners were found violating norms laid down by the government.

He identified the brick kilns as VIP owned by Jan Mohammad Dar, DCO owned by Syed Imtiyaz who was fined of rupees 50000, HHH with rupees 50000, 12 P owned by Syed Mohd Yaseen Andrabi fined with 50000, 711 owned by Tariq Ahmad fined with one lakh, 371 owned by Ab Satar Shagoo fined with rupees 50000. All were fined due to not maintenance of day books and bill books, he said.

The team that conducted a surprise visit to Waterwani were Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam, District officer geology and mining department and Naib Tehsildar Budgam besides other officers of the administration. (KDC)
