Srinagar, June 29, KDC: Cavalcade of Mayor of Srinagar municipal Corporation (SMC), Junaid Matoo was attacked with stones on Tuesday at Choudhary Bagh Nadiyar in Rainawari area in Kashmir Capital Srinagar.
Police sources told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that the of cavalcade of Mayor was attacked with some stones by miscreants and his PSO identified as constable Parvaiz Ahmad was hit by a stone and sustained injuries in his left eye and was immediately shifted to hospital for treatment and his condition is stable.
They said that Junaid was on a marriage function in the interiors of Dal Lake and was returning to his residence when this incident happened.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident, they added. (KDC)
