Budgam, June 04, KDC: A 4-yr-old girl was mauled to death by a leopard in Ompora, area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday evening, police said.
A police official told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that one 4-year old girl identified as Adha Shakil daughter of Shakil Ahmad, a resident of Housing colony, Ompora area of Budgam was taken by a leopard while playing in the lawns of her house.
He said that after receiving the information police and wildlife teams and army swung into action and launched the massive searches to trace out the missing girl adding that the body of the girl was traced in a nearby area (nursery) on Friday morning.
However, locals said that the leopards had been roaming in the area for many weeks and some of them were even captured. (KDC)
