Srinagar, Apr 28, KDC: District Development Council Chairman Srinagar Malik Aftab, on Wednesday while appreciating the move of District Magistrate Srinagar of imposing section 144 CrPc in all municipal limits of Srinagar district and urged Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to impose it across the valley to contain this deadly virus.

Malik Aftab told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that imposing of section 144 CrPc in Capital City is a welcoming move from Srinagar administration and looking at the current COVID-19 situation across Kashmir strict restrictions are the only tool to tackle this worrying situation we are facing.

“The administration should invite religious scholars and community representatives and seek their active support and assistance to tackle this situation across the valley, he told KDC.

He said, if the administration will not impose restrictions across the valley, we will be in a situation like Delhi and other states of the country in coming weeks and it will be very much difficult to control the virus in Kashmir.

Aftab urged the divisional administration of Kashmir to impose section 144 in all the districts across the valley with immediate effect.

He appealed to the general public to wear face masks, social distancing and follow the necessary protocols laid by the medical experts and that’s the way to get rid from this deadly virus. (KDC)
