Srinagar, Apr 03, KDC: An encounter broke out between Militants and Security forces at Chor Ki Gali forest area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.
Sources told News agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a joint team of Police, army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
They said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon forces which was retaliated triggering an encounter.
As per the sources, four to five militants are believed to be trapped in the area. (KDC)
