Police releases list of wanted local militants operating in Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 13, KDC: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday evening released a list of nine wanted militants operating in Srinagar city and outskirts.

Belonging to different outfits, six among these nine listed militants are from Srinagar, while two others from Budgam district and one from South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

However in this list police has not mentioned the outfits these men are affiliated with.

The list mentions photograph, name, parentage and date when these men have went missing.

The list includes: Wasim Qadir Mir a resident of Nowgam Srinagar who according to the list went missing on 23rd December 2018, Shahid Khurshid a resident of Chanapora Srinagar who went missing on 6th February 2021, Irfan Ahmad Sofi a resident of Natipora Srinagar who has went missing on 14th December 2020, Bilal Ahmad Bhat a resident of Natipora Srinagar who also has went missing on 14th December 2020, Saqib Manzoor Dar a resident of Barzulla Srinagar who has went missing on 05th August 2020,  Abrar Nadeem Bhat a resident of Narbal Budgam who has went missing on 31st December 2018, Mohd Yousuf Dar a resident of Check Kawoosa Budgam who has went missing first on 2012 and then rejoined militancy in 2015, Mohd Abbas Sheikh a resident of Koimuh Kulgam who has went missing in April 2015, Ubaid Shafi Dar a resident of Batamaloo Srinagar who went missing on 31st October 2020.

“Informer shall be suitably rewarded” reads the list. (KDC)
