Srinagar, Mar 13: ONGC Super 30 Srinagar, on Saturday held a felicitation cum interaction programme at ONGC Super 30 centre situated at Gulshan Nagar, Nowgam in Kashmir capital Srinagar.
Students of previous batch and current batch of 2020-21 participated in the programme.
During the programme, Shashi Shanker, CMD, ONGC and Dr. Alka Mittal, Director (HR), ONGC facilitated the students.
They also interacted with the students of current batch and encouraged them to stay motivated and work hard for a good career.
On the occasion, S.K.Shahi, Director General, CSRL said, “Despite of pandemic we continued the project and stand up with our commitment. The project became able to transformed lives of 15 students who may have taken a different path due to lack of means and resources. In first year of inception of project 29 students got qualified in NEET and 15 have taken admission in Medical colleges- 8 in MBBS and 7 in others.”
Pertinently, ONGC Super 30 Srinagar is an innovative manifestation of Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL), a registered society in Delhi and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) and a public sector enterprise.
“Project was started in 2019-20 with objective of providing career direction to the Kashmiri students for transforming their lives through eleven months free residential coaching and academic mentoring for NEET and AIIMS. The underprivileged students of J&K and Ladakh are selected for enrolment in project through diligent process of written test and interview,” he added.
