Sopore Mar, 12, KDC: Government Forces launched a cordon and search operation in Lathishart Tujjar area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday Evening.
Reports reaching to KDC said that a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, SOG and 179 CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Lathishart village of Sopore town and conducted house to house searches in the area.
Meanwhile sources said that searches in the area was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
The forces have installed lights so as to prevent the escape of militant owing to darkness, they said.
Searches were going on in the area when last reports came in. (KDC)
